I am a Southern California native, born and raised in Santa Monica and Los Angeles. My husband and I moved to Orange County three months after we were married, in December, 1968, staying in L.A. while I finished school. We've lived on the Irvine Ranch since 1973 and in our current home since 1979. I'm devoted to my family which includes my goofy, but wonderful husband, my three amazing and awesome sons, my two sweet and adorable granddaughters and my two devoted and loving toy poodles. I went to undergraduate and graduate schools at UCLA. I'm a former elementary school teacher and started my own business in 1981 so I could work at home while raising my children. I'm an avid reader. I especially love romance novels of any kind, and poetry. Other things I enjoy are cooking, music, dogs, castles, watching my favorite TV shows (most via DVR), studying about Alaska and the British Isles & writing romances and poetry. I am a 2x cancer survivor, a Type I diabetic, I can no longer walk, and I have RA. Regardless of the obstacles and challenges life has given me, I consider myself very blessed and extremely fortunate. I am and forever will be a cockeyed optimist!
